A culturally supportive child development center.
Preparing for tomorrow, academically and socially.
Our philosophy is learning through play as we offer a stimulating environment for children. We believe that learning is fun. The centerpiece of our preschool program is learning to be a community. It is our goal to never turn away a child because of the cost of tuition. Learn about available options. All students are welcome!
Every member of the community is valuable and contributes in his or her own way. During meal and play times the children are mixed with ages from two years old through kindergarten. The older children are role models and examples to the younger ones. They learn independence and important social lessons about caring, cooperation, compromise, and responsibility.
Native American traditions are incorporated throughout the daily schedule and curriculum such as learning to count in English, Me-Wuk and Spanish as well as singing Native songs before mealtimes.

“I love everything about LBT! The preschool director, teachers, lessons, activities, and Miwok education. My child was ready for kindergarten. The best testament to LBT is how my oldest went there, and when I had twins, I enrolled them too!”
“Our family loves LBT! My son has thrived the past two years; he is always learning new sills and concepts from his teachers and peers in a fun and welcoming environment. As a Native American household, we are thankful to have found a Preschool with the Native American leadership, curriculum, and students.”
The Center was founded by Chairwoman Rhonda Morningstar Pope and the Buena Vista Rancheria in the spring of 2007 to bring a culturally appropriate preschool experience for Native American children and others from the ages of 2 years to 5 years 6 months.
